Policies & Procedures:

  1. Please ensure children arrive 15 minutes before class begins so that we can begin on time. Bring water, a binder, a pencil, and a highlighter.

  2. Absences should be reported in advance via email: admin@spotlightacademyto.com

  3. Repeated absences may result in a reduced role in the performance as there is limited time to catch students up on what they missed. Students may book private coaching with teachers to catch up on their own time. This can be arranged by email or in person.

  4. If a Parent/guardian is more than 10 minutes lates to pick up their child, Spotlight Academy will take the following steps:

    1. Call Primary Contact immediately

    2. Call Secondary/Emergency contact in the event that the Primary contact fails to respond.

  5. We promote a nut-free environment, and will advise of any other allergies in the particular group if needed.

  6. Spotlight Academy promotes an inclusive environment that allows students to feel accepted and safe while having fun. We’ll teach you theatre/drama studies, but hurtful drama will not be tolerated. We will support our classmates and exude a positive attitude in the room. We will understand that everyone will get a  moment to shine, and we will trust the judgement of teachers to assign appropriate roles. We will not complain, or compete with other students. Instead, we will celebrate our successes and the successes of others, and work as a team! Failure to do so will result in a meeting with the faculty of Spotlight Academy.

  7. We encourage students to always be respectful towards peers, staff, and the space we are in. Behavioural issues encountered during the program will be brought to the attention of parents. We will do our best to cooperate with parents to resolve problems; however, if we are not successful in finding a solution, it may ultimately result in removal from the program if necessary.
