Our Production Program is Spotlight’s full musical theatre experience, where performers rehearse and bring a complete show to life from start to finish. With 2.5-hour weekly rehearsals, students will dive into a full-scale musical, working on vocals, choreography, blocking, and character development as they build toward a fully staged production.

Throughout the session, performers are cast in roles and rehearse as a company, developing strong performance skills, storytelling, and teamwork in a structured and professional rehearsal environment. The program culminates in a final performance at a professional theatre, where students step into the spotlight and perform the full show for a live audience.

We offer two troupe levels within this program:

• JUNIOR Production for students in Grades 3-8

• TEEN Production for students in Grades 7-12

Step into the spotlight and experience the magic of bringing a full musical to life. Spotlight’s Production Program gives performers the opportunity to work on a fully licensed musical, rehearsing and building a show from start to finish in a high-energy, collaborative environment.

Students are cast in a role that they develop throughout the entire session, allowing them to dive deeper into character work, storytelling, and performance technique. Alongside this, they work as part of an ensemble, learning how to collaborate, support one another, and contribute to the full picture of the show. Community and teamwork are at the heart of this program, as each troupe works together to bring a story to life on stage.

With 2.5-hour weekly rehearsals, performers take their training further through more advanced vocals, choreography, staging, and scene work, all guided by our experienced creative team. The program culminates in a full-scale production on a professional stage, complete withsets, props, and technical design. It’s an all-in experience for performers who are ready to challenge themselves, build their skills, and take their training to the next level.
